Create and Manage Events

Create an Event Page

  1. Click Create Event
    The Create Event button on the Dashboard.

  2. Enter a Title for the page
    The Title text input field in the Basic Information tab.

  3. Select a Microsite
    The microsite dropdown options in the Basic Information tab.

  4. Complete the rest of the Basic Information fields as desired

  5. Select the Event tab
    The Event tab in the left-hand navigation menu.

  6. Complete the Event options

  7. Add additional content, if desired

  8. Publish the Event

  9. Click the Save button


Add an Event to a Page

  1. Navigate to the desired page

  2. Click the Edit button

  3. Select the More + tab
    The More   tab in the left-hand navigation menu.

  4. Check the Event box
    The checkbox toggle labeled Event in the More   tab.

  5. Select the Event tab

  6. Complete the Event Options

  7. Click the Save button


Edit an Event

  1. Navigate to the desired page

  2. Click Edit below the desired Event page
    The Edit button in the toolbar at the bottom of the page.

  3. Edit the Basic Information, Event Options, or any other options as necessary

  4. Publish or Unpublish the Event, as desired

  5. Click the Save button
    The Save button in the toolbar at the bottom of the page.


View an Event Page

  1. Search your content for the desired Event page

  2. Click the Title of the page

  3. View the page


Copy an Event

  1. Navigate to the desired page

  2. Click the Clone button
    The Clone button in the toolbar at the bottom of the page.

  3. Make any edits as necessary

  4. Publish or Unpublish the page, as desired

  5. Click the Save button

    The Save button in the toolbar at the bottom of the page.


View Event Page Revisions

  1. Navigate to the desired page

  2. Click the Revisions button
    The Revisions button in the toolbar at the bottom of the page.

  3. View the list of previous revisions


Revert an Event Page

  1. View Event Revisions

  2. Select Revert to revert the Event page to an earlier version
    The Revert button in the Revisions menu for a page.

  3. Select Revert to confirm the revision
    The green Revert button to confirm a page reversion.


Publish or Unpublish an Event

  1. Navigate to the desired page

  2. Click the Edit button
    The Edit button in the toolbar at the bottom of the page.

  3. Select the Publishing tab
    The Publishing tab in the left-hand navigation menu.

  4. Complete the Publishing options
    The Published toggle, and the Publish on and Unpublish on fields in the Publishing tab.

    • Published: Check or uncheck the box to publish or unpublish, respectively

    • Publish On: Select a date and time to publish the event at a later date

      Note:

      Click on the calendar or clock icon to select the date or time
      The Publish on calendar icon with a date selected on the calendar.

    • Unpublish On: Select a date and time to automatically unpublish the event

  5. Click the Save button
    The Save button in the toolbar at the bottom of the page.


Delete an Event

Important Note:

Only Site Admins can perform this function. This action cannot be undone.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to the desired page

  2. Click the Delete button
    The Delete button in the action bar at the bottom of the page.

  3. Click the Delete button to confirm the deletion
    The green Delete confirmation button below the Are you sure you want to delete the content item header.

    Warning:

    This action cannot be undone.


Basic Information Fields

The text input fields and drop-down menus in the Basic Information tab.

  • Title: The title of the page

  • Microsite: A microsite associated with the page

  • Summary: A brief explanation of the page

    Note:

    The Summary field will only appear after clicking Edit Summary
    The Edit summary URL to the right of the Body label.

  • Body: The main content of the page

  • Short Description: The text in this field appears in search results both on the site and in other search engines, such as Google


Event Options

The input fields in the Event tab.

  • Start: Select the start date and time

    Note:

    Click on the calendar or clock icon to select the date or time
    The calendar icon and a date selected on the calendar.

  • End: Select the end date and time

  • All Day: Check this box for an all-day event

  • Duration: Use the dropdown menu to select a duration of time for the event

  • Repeats: Select an option to create a recurring event
