Released Enhancements

SeeClickFix 311 CRM now includes the CivicPlus Application Switcher for staff users. Select the Application Switcher icon in the upper-right navigation to open other CivicPlus applications available to your organization.

An example of the CivicPlus Application Switcher in SeeClickFix 311 CRM.

The switcher displays the CivicPlus applications associated with your organization and makes navigating between CivicPlus products easier. This may include applications that your user account does not have permission to access. Learn more in the Applications Overview.

Who can use the Application Switcher?

The Application Switcher is available to SeeClickFix staff users who sign in through CivicPlus Single Sign-On.

The Application Switcher is not currently available throughout all of SeeClickFix 311 CRM. It does not appear on Conversations or Constituents pages, or on certain settings, administrative, and other legacy pages.

If the switcher appears but an application owned by your organization is missing, contact CivicPlus Support.

Staff Center and Organization Access

Staff Center provides organizational users with a shared place to access their available CivicPlus applications. Organization Owners can also add and manage users, groups, and organization settings, including adding users individually or in bulk. Organizations with the optional domain setting enabled can automatically add users with an approved email domain when they next sign in.

Product-specific roles and permissions continue to be managed within each CivicPlus product.

CivicPlus Athena and SeeClickFix 311 CRM

Organizations may also have access to CivicPlus Athena in Staff Center. Athena is currently in beta and can assist SeeClickFix staff with tasks such as viewing assigned requests, following requests, and adding comments.

Athena uses the signed-in staff member’s existing permissions and cannot perform actions the user is not authorized to complete. Learn more in About CivicPlus Athena.

Staff and Resident Portals Remain Separate

The Application Switcher is a staff-facing enhancement and does not change the resident experience:

  • The SeeClickFix 311 CRM Portal is the product-specific experience residents use to report and follow local issues.

  • The CivicPlus Resident Portal is a broader community hub that can bring together forms, payments, alerts, meetings, SeeClickFix request submission, and other municipal services.

Learn more about the SeeClickFix Portal and CivicPlus Resident Portal.

Update to Post to Neighbors Retirement: Inter-Organization Transfers

As part of the previously announced Post to Neighbors / Community Area retirement, we are no longer planning to preserve the Post to Neighbors recategorization path for transferring requests between SeeClickFix organizations. This direction allows us to focus on helping residents get to the correct organization at the start of a request.

Starting on or after August 15, 2026, CivicPlus may begin retiring this workflow. Customers should not rely on continued availability after that date, though rollout timing may vary as implementation and validation are completed.

If another SeeClickFix organization should handle a request, direct the resident to submit the request through that organization’s appropriate portal. For general resident guidance, see Report an Issue to Your City.

Organizations that operate near or overlap another SeeClickFix jurisdiction may also consider enabling Allow reporting to all SeeClickFix 311 CRM organizations in Customize Portal Settings, where appropriate.

Other Released Enhancements:

  • Recurring data export email improvements: Scheduled recurring export emails now display the specific title of the export and feature a distinct layout when no records match the report criteria. These changes allow staff users to quickly identify which export was delivered and confirm when a successful run resulted in zero matching records.

  • New automatic notification controls for request categories: Staff users with permission to edit request categories can now manage automatic notification settings directly within the category configuration. New checkbox controls allow for silencing Point of Interest alerts and comment alerts for specific categories. These settings are located in the Subscriptions and Benchmarks section to provide greater operational control over alert volume.
