Edit the Location of a Request

The location of a request can be edited at any time by Organizational users.

Important Notes

  • Editing an address for an integrated issue does not update the location in an integrated system.

  • If the address of a Request is updated and the Request is tied to an existing Work Order, the address of the Work Order will not be updated.

  • If you update an address on a Request and then create a Work Order, the new Work Order will pull the new address.

  • Work Order locations/addresses are not editable.

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Navigate to the Requests tab:The CRM home page, with the Requests Tab highlighted.

  3. Select the desired request:The home screen with a Pothole request highlighted for selection.

  4. Under the map, select Edit Location:An opened request with the Edit Location link highlighted.

  5. Type in the new address or click and drag the cursor to the new location:The Location screen with the Add Address field and the draggable map location pin icon highlighted.

  6. Choose to send a Public or Internal Notification of the address change:The Edit Location screen  with the Public Notification and Internal Notification radio buttons highlighted.

  7. Select Update:The Edit Location screen with the Update button highlighted.

  8. A comment (that cannot be edited) will be generated to record the changes:The uneditable comment added after a location is edited and updated.
