Migrate Users to CivicPlus Platform Single Sign-On

To enhance user experience and create a unified login interaction across CivicPlus products, SeeClickFix 311 CRM will have all users migrated to a single login on the CivicPlus Platform. SeeClickFix 311 CRM started offering login using the CivicPlus Platform for new users in 2022, but now requires all users to migrate to the CivicPlus Platform. Once all users are migrated, the login experience will be improved with a new login screen and fewer clicks. Instead of having a login that is only for SeeClickFix 311 CRM, an account will be created on the CivicPlus Platform, and this same account will be used across all CivicPlus products for the user. Important Notes

  • The migration process can be tested on an organization's sandbox account. If a user exists on both a sandbox and production site in SeeClickFix 311 CRM, they will only receive one notification to validate their account on the CivicPlus Platform. They will not have to validate again once the production site is migrated.

  • The migration process can be completed per user or in bulk.

  • If a user accesses SeeClickFix 311 CRM APIs, the user will also need to switch authentication for the API to utilize an access token. The SeeClickFix 311 CRM API now utilizes the user's CivicPlus Account Personal Access Token. Users can now create Personal Access Tokens for authentication to SeeClickFix 311 CRM APIs, by visiting their CivicPlus Account Password & Security page.

  • To ensure users receive all important emails, please update email filters to allow emails from civicplus.com and amazonses.com.

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Click your profile icon and select Manage OrganizationManage Organization option in account dropdown.

  3. Select CivicPlus Platform in the left navigation menu CivicPlus Platform option in left navigation menu.

  4. To migrate individual users, click Migrate User next to the account Migrate User button.

  5. To migrate all users, click Migrate Users at the bottom of the page Migrate All Users button.

  6. The system will look for an existing email address on the CivicPlus Platform. If found, then the accounts will be tied together. The next time that user logs into SeeClickFix 311 CRM they will utilize the existing password that had been set up on CivicPlus Platform.

  7. The user will be asked to Validate their account Validate Account.

  8. They will then be asked to reset their password

  9. When the password is set, the user will receive a confirmation message Email Confirmed message.

  10. Once a user is migrated, the login screen will redirect to the CivicPlus Platform for authentication
