Create and Manage Drafts

MuniPRO users can draft legislation using any publication within the code library as a starting point. This article will show you how to add, view, edit, and delete drafts.

Add a Draft

  1. Log in / navigate to your Dashboard The Online Code Hosting dashboard.

  2. Find and review the desired code using MuniPRO Search or the code library Municipality Search An example code.

  3. Select Add Draft (paper with lines icon) next to the part of the code you would like to use in your new draft The Add Draft button.

  4. Ensure the checkboxes next to the desired Chapters, Sections, or Articles are checked Selected portions of code.

    Note:

    The currently selected portion of the code will be checked automatically. Use the blue + and - buttons to expand or collapse the list of options, and check or uncheck other articles and sections of the code as desired.

  5. Click Next The blue, rectangular Next button in the lower-right corner of the Add Draft window.

  6. Enter a Draft Title The Draft Title field.

  7. Enter a Draft Note The Draft Note field.

  8. Click Save The blue, rectangular Save button in the lower-right corner of the Add Draft window.

  9. Your draft has been saved to your Dashboard and your computer as a Microsoft Word file The saved draft confirmation message.


View Your Drafts

  1. Log in/navigate to your Dashboard The Online Code Hosting dashboard.

  2. Scroll to the Recent Drafts section The dashboard Recent Drafts section.

  3. Click Manage The Manage button in the Recent Drafts section.

  4. View your saved Drafts Example saved drafts.


Edit the Title or Note of a Draft

  1. Log in/navigate to your Dashboard The Online Code Hosting dashboard.

  2. Scroll down to the Recent Drafts section The dashboard Recent Drafts section.

  3. Click Manage The Manage button in the Recent Drafts section.

  4. Click Edit (pencil icon) next to the draft you wish to edit The Manage your drafts Edit button.

  5. Update your Draft Title, if desired The field in which you can edit a draft's title.

  6. Update your Draft Note, if desired Draft note text in the process of being updated.

  7. Click Save to save your changes The Save button in the lower-right corner of the Manage your drafts box.

    Note:

    Click Cancel to exit the edit function.

  8. Your draft title and note have been edited Example saved drafts.


Delete a Draft

  1. Log in/navigate to your Dashboard The Online Code Hosting dashboard.

  2. Scroll down to the Recent Drafts section The dashboard Recent Drafts section.

  3. Select Manage The Manage button in the Recent Drafts section.

  4. Click Delete (trash can icon) next to the draft you wish to delete The Manage your drafts Delete button.

  5. Select Delete? to confirm the deletion The Delete button in the lower-right corner of the Manage your drafts box.

  6. Your draft has been deleted The Manage your drafts section with no active drafts.
