Create and Manage Notes

MuniPRO users can create Notes and attach them to any section of any publication within the code library. This article will show you how to add, view, edit, and delete notes.

Add a Note

  1. Log in/navigate to your Dashboard The Online Code Hosting dashboard.

  2. Find and review the desired Code using MuniPRO Search or the code library The Munipro Search and code library options.

  3. Click Add Note (pencil icon) next to the portion of code you are interested in The Add Note button to the right of an example code section.

  4. Enter your Note into the Add your note here text box The 'Add your note here' text box.

  5. Format the display of the text using the Text and Paragraph Formatting tools, if desired The paragraph and text formatting tools.

  6. Toggle the Visibility of the note from Private to Public, if desired The Visibility toggle.

    Note:

    The Public Note feature is only available to Admin users and can only be used with your municipality. Public Notes are most frequently used to add external links to other documents.

  1. Click Add Note The blue, rectangular Add Note button.

  2. A confirmation message will appear The 'Note added' confirmation message.

    Note:

    Click Close or the X to exit the confirmation message.

  3. Your note has been saved to the code and your Dashboard A private note within the code.


View Your Notes

  1. Log in/navigate to your Dashboard The Online Code Hosting dashboard.

  2. Scroll down to the Recent Notes section The Recent Notes section.

  3. Click Manage The Manage button below an example recent note.

  4. Select Public, Private, or All to narrow or expand your notes list, if necessary The Public, Private, and All display options.

    Note:

    All is the default option.

  5. View your Notes An example notes list in the Manage Your Notes section.


Edit a Note

  1. Log in/navigate to your Dashboard The Online Code Hosting dashboard.

  2. Scroll down to the Recent Notes section The Recent Notes section.

  3. Click Manage The Manage button below an example recent note.

  4. Select Public, Private, or All to narrow or expand your notes list, if necessary The Public, Private, and All display options.

    Note:

    All is the default option.

  5. Click Edit (pencil and paper icon) next to the desired note The edit icon for an example note.

  6. Edit the text of the note in the text box, if desired The Note text box.

  7. Change the display of the note using the Paragraph and Text Formatting tools, if desired The paragraph and text formatting tools.

  8. Toggle the Visibility of the note to Public or Private, if desired The Visibility toggle.

  9. Click Save and Close to save your changes and exit the note, or click Save to save your recent changes and continue editing the note The blue, rectangular Save and Close and Save buttons.

  10. Your note has been edited and saved A green, rectanglar 'Note saved' message at the top of the Manage Your Notes screen.


Delete a Note

  1. Log in/navigate to your Dashboard The Online Code Hosting dashboard.

  2. Scroll down to the Recent Notes section The Recent Notes section.

  3. Click Manage The Manage button below an example recent note.

  4. Select Public, Private, or All to narrow or expand your notes list, if necessary The Public, Private, and All display options.

    Note:

    All is the default option.

  5. Click Delete (trash can icon) next to the note you wish to delete The trash can icon to the right of an example note.

  6. Click Delete? to confirm the deletion A button with the word 'Delete' which can be clicked to confirm the deletion of a note.

    Note:

    Click Cancel to leave the Note as-is.

  7. Your note has been deleted The 'No notes found' message which appears when there are no available notes.
