Reconciliation
When you log in to the Payments Portal, the activity log shows the Payments Transaction ID and the Merchant Code. The Merchant Code is the identifier to look up transactions in the gateway.
Transaction ID: A unique identifier for Payments
Merchant Code: This is the trace ID, plus the authorization code
For example, if you look up a transaction and see the following Merchant Code: e677f5b8-1ebd-4ee4-b2b9-dfd0bee01d82*31976594
e677f5b8-1ebd-4ee4-b2b9-dfd0bee01d82 is the Trace ID and 31976594 is the Authorization Code. You can use the trace ID to look up payments in CSG Forte.
You can also search by the Authorization Number.

Lastly, you can use the trace ID plus the authorization to look up transactions back in the Pay Activity Log. Combine {Trace ID}*{Authorization Code}. Don't forget the asterisk! You need both the Trace ID and Authorization code to look up the transaction. Partial keys will not work.
