Live Meeting Manager Overview

Live Meeting Manager is an add-on module for Agenda and Meeting Management Select that helps organizations manage meetings in real time. Built into the Minutes module, it provides tools for managing speakers, recording votes, displaying meeting information, and taking minutes more efficiently.

During a meeting, Live Meeting Manager can display agenda items, speakers, timers, motions, and voting results as they happen. It also supports electronic voting, audible speaker timer alerts, and live bookmarking through the Board Portal. When used with CivicPlus Media, Live Meeting Manager can also create timestamps that make it easier for viewers to navigate recorded meetings.

Key Features

Display Page

The Display Page provides a public-facing view of the meeting before and during the meeting. Before the meeting begins, it can display a custom welcome message. During the meeting, it updates in real time to show agenda items, speakers, motions, timers, and voting results. If enabled, individual board member votes can also be displayed as they are cast. Clerk administrators can customize the vote result scroll speed to make the results easier for attendees to read.

Speaker Timer

The Speaker Timer helps track the amount of time allotted to each speaker. An optional audible alert notifies participants when the allotted time has expired.

Board Portal Integration

Board Portal Integration allows board members to join a live meeting through the Board Portal. During the meeting, members can create bookmarks to quickly return to important moments later.

Electronic Voting

Electronic Voting allows board members to cast their votes electronically in the Board Portal during a meeting. Vote results can be recorded in the Minutes module and displayed in real time, if enabled.

CivicPlus Media Integration

When used with CivicPlus Media, Live Meeting Manager can manually or automatically automatically create timestamps during a meeting. These timestamps make it easier for viewers to navigate to specific points in a recorded meeting. Without CivicPlus Media, timestamps are only available if media is uploaded separately.

Requirements

  • Live Meeting Manager is an optional add-on for Agenda and Meeting Management Select available for an additional cost.

  • Some features, such as media timestamps, require CivicPlus Media.
