This article explains how to add a photo folder to your site and add images to it.
Folder: Accessible site-wide, can be used in a variety of ways
Album: Only in the Photo Gallery
Important Note:
This will show you how to add a Photo Folder, not a Photo Album.

System Administrator | Owner
Instructions
Navigate to Modules and on the Content tab, select Photo Gallery:

Click the Add Photo(s) button:

Click the Add Folder button:

Note:
If the Add Folder option is not available, you do not have the required permissions. Contact a system administrator for access.
Type in the Name of the folder and click the Add Folder button:

Select the Add Image(s) button while in the new folder space:

Drag and drop images into the upload area, or click the area to select images from your computer:

Click the Continue button:

Modify the Display Name and Alt Text for the photo(s). Complete the rest of the information, as needed:

Display Name: Enter the name displayed for the image
Alt Text: Enter a brief description of the image in the Alt Text field. Alt text helps people who cannot see the image understand its content. Be as descriptive as possible
Description: Enter an optional description of the image
Display From: Select the date the image becomes visible
Display To: Select the date the image is no longer visible
Hide This Document From Search: Check this box to exclude the image from search results
This Image Contains Text: Check this box if the image includes readable text
Decorative Image: Check this box if the image is decorative and does not convey meaningful content
Select Add Images:

The photos will appear in the folder:
