Create a Page
Who can use this feature?
System Administrator | Owner | Publisher | Author
Log in to your site
Ensure Live Edit is On and navigate to the section you wish to add a page to
You can add a page using the following methods:
Select Add Page in the mega menu
Select Add Page using the left-hand navigation
You can add a subpage of a subpage by hovering over a subpage and clicking Add Page
Fill in the new page fields
Title: Name of the page
Menu Text: This is the link text that is displayed in the site's menus. It also generates the page's URL which should be as short as possible.
Always Use Page Title for Menu Text: If checked, Menu Text will automatically match the Page Title when submitted or saved page versions are published.
Linked Page: Check to create a linked page
Department Header: If enabled, and the Search Widget is configured to allow it, it will be possible to search only Department Header-related content
Description: Briefly describe the page
Keywords: Input keywords to enhance search functionality. Separate each word or phrase with a comma.
Page Tags: Specify custom tags for your pages to allow for better search engine optimization or social media sharing. Tags are entered in HTML format.
Image: Upload an image to be displayed in the Pages widget when configured for Format 4.
Hidden: Hide this page from displaying in search, site menus, Site Map, or mega menus
Feature Column: Display the feature column on this page
Select Create Page
Select a saving option at the top of the new page
Save: Will save the changes made without publishing them to the live site
Save and Publish: Will save the changes and publish them to the live site
Save as Copy: Will save the changes as a copy, without publishing them to the live site
Cancel: Will delete the changes made
Edit a Page
Who can use this feature?
System Administrator | Owner | Publisher | Author
Log in to your site and navigate to the page you want to edit
Ensure that Live Edit Is On
On the Versions tab, click Actions next to the version you would like to change
Select Options
Adjust page options, as needed
Title: Adjust the title for your page
Version Notes: Create internal notes for this version of your page
Linked Page: You must create a new version to make it a linked page.
Description: Provide a brief description of this version. Text entered will be added to the page's "meta description=" tag.
Keywords: Add keywords for enhanced search functionality. Separate each keyword with a comma.
Page Tags: Add meta-tags, CSS styles, or scripts to the page's Head section
Image: Upload an image to be displayed in the Pages widget when configured for Format 4.
Display: Create a Starting On and Stopping On for beginning and ending display dates
Click Save Changes
Add and edit widgets, as needed
Scroll to the top and select a save option when you finish editing
Save: Saves edits
Save and Publish: Saves the changes and publishes them to the live site
Save as Copy: Saves your edited page as a new page
Unpublish a Page
Who can use this feature?
System Administrator | Owner
Log in to your site and navigate to the page that you wish to unpublish
Ensure that Live Edit is On
On the Versions tab, click Unpublish All Versions
Note: To just unpublish one version, select Actions and then Unpublish on the version card.
Delete a Page
Important Note:
Deleting from the Actions button in the Version tab deletes the version. Deleting from the Actions button at the top of the page deletes the page and all versions.
Who can use this feature?
System Administrator | Owner
Log in to your site and navigate to the page that you wish to delete
Note: If the page you wish to delete is in [DRAFT] mode, you will not see it in the page navigation until you are in Live Edit.
Ensure that Live Edit is On
Select Unpublish All Versions
Select Actions in the upper right corner
Select Delete Page
Note: If a page has subpages, you must delete all subpages first.
Click OK to confirm the deletion
