This article explains how to direct Alert Center items to any web address on your site or to an external web address. This includes item titles, images, RSS links, and Read On... links in Alert Center widgets, module screens, and notifications. Users can go directly to the destination without first visiting the Alert Center item.
Instructions
Navigate to Modules. Click on Content, and then Alert Center:

Select the category you would like the alert to appear:

Fill out the Link(s) fields:

Web Address: Enter a URL for a page on your site or an external website
Note:
This option is item-based. The link uses the web address for that item in all Alert Center widgets and the Alert Bar.
Display Text: Enter display text for the web address. This is the text that users will click on to visit the web address
Open in new window: Select to open the web address in a new window
Link item, image, read on, RSS and notifications to this Web Address: Check to redirect to the web address
Add Additional Links: Select the plus sign (+) to add additional links:

Select Add Photo(s) to upload images, if desired:

Change "Read on..." Text, if needed:

Note:
The default link text is “Read On...”. You can change it to any text, such as Details or Additional Info.
Fill out other fields as needed.
Navigate to and select Save Changes or Save and Send:

Save Changes: Save changes to the alert category as a draft
Save and Publish: Save changes and publish the alert category
Item titles, image, "Read on..." text, and notifications will now link to the web address:

Note:
The “Read On...” text and image link to one of the web addresses in the Link(s) section of the Alert Center item. Links placed in the editor or elsewhere in the item do not.
