FAQ
How can I create a discount for siblings registering for the same program?
Family Discounts can be used to assign discounts based on family members that are attending. Depending on your discount structure, you may need more than one. Ask your CivicPlus Representative if you are unsure of the proper way to configure a discount for family members.
How can I apply discounts to specific groups?
Depending on the goal for the discount, you can leverage User Flag Discount to assign a flag to specific accounts, Coupon Discount to provide a coupon code to specific customers for use, or even a Membership/Activity Discount to indicate users who have a specific membership or participated in a program can receive the discount.
Can I apply discounts to Point-of-Sale items?
Yes, discounts can be applied to Point-of-Sale items.
What are the benefits of using discounts over manually adjusting price?
Discounts will allow you to bring savings to users who sign up for your department’s services at home. Additionally, when waiving fees, it is harder to track how much money you have “given as a discount” and where when manually waiving fees. Discount usage can be pulled in reports.
What reports can I use to look up discount information?
Discount usage information can be pulled into Transaction Reports, General Ledger Reports, and the Discount Summary report.
