Transfer a Request Between Organizations

Some geographies overlap, and issues that need to be routed to one organization end up in the hands of the incorrect organization. Use the following steps to transfer a Request from one organization to another.

Alternatively, you can also close the request that is in the incorrect organization and submit a new request to the correct organization.

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. If the issue was reported to a service category in Organization A, they will need to recategorize the request to the "Post to neighbors" category:

    1. Navigate to the Requests tabThe CRM home page, with the Requests Tab highlighted.

    2. Check the requestRequest checkboxes.

    3. Click RecategorizeThe Recategorize button of the Requests tab.

    4. From the drop-down menu select Post to NeighborsDrop-down menu, post to neighbors.

    5. Click UpdateUpdate button.

  3. This will cause the request to become uncategorized, so it will be available for Organization B to access and recategorize:

    1. On the Requests tab, select Post to Neighbors under Categories on the filter menuFilter options set to Post to Neighbors category on the Requests tab.

    2. Check the request and click RecategorizeSelect Request checkbox and Recategorize buttons highlighted on the Requests tab.

    3. From the dropdown menu, select the appropriate categoryCategory drop-down menu.

    4. Click UpdateRecategorize Request pop-up window with the Update button highlighted.
