Residents can access digital membership cards directly from the Manage Memberships dashboard. Digital cards display membership details. They also show a barcode, QR code, or both. Residents can use these to check in with their phone or other device. Key capabilities include:

  • Session-level configuration: Administrators can enable or disable digital membership cards per session and choose whether cards display a barcode, QR code, or both.

  • Membership status indicators: Digital cards automatically reflect the membership’s current status.

  • Punch-pass scan counts: Punch-pass memberships display remaining scans directly on the card and update in real time as scans are used.

  • Household visibility: Household members can view membership cards associated with their household, and purchasers can view all cards created under their membership.

  • Public cancellation support: Residents can cancel memberships directly from the digital card view when public cancellation is enabled for the session.

  • Print support: Both residents and staff can print membership cards. Staff can choose to print either the physical or digital version from the internal membership profile. Residents can print their digital membership cards using the Manage Memberships dashboard.

  • Apple Wallet and Google Wallet support: Residents can add their digital membership cards directly to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet for fast, convenient access right from their phone.

  • Updated internal card management view: The internal View/Print Card page now displays both physical and digital cards side by side, with management actions such as print, delete, and change number available from either view.

  • Action logging: Key staff actions related to digital membership cards are now tracked in the action log, including enabling/disabling digital membership cards and printing or downloading cards.

Send Digital Membership Cards to a Resident

Staff can send residents their digital membership cards in two ways. They can send a card during a transaction, or send one on demand.

Send a Digital Membership Card During a Transaction

During the Transaction Receipt step, a Membership Cards option will be displayed. It shows the membership card information. Staff can email the cards to one person or to multiple people.

Selected users receive an email with their membership card. The subject line reads: "Membership Card for [User Name] at [Organization Name] is Ready - Add It to Your Wallet." The email includes the membership name, the user the card is for, and the organization’s name. Users can simply click a button to add the card to their preferred digital wallet. This opens the user's digital wallet so they can add their membership.

Send a Digital Membership Card On Demand

Staff can also send a resident their digital membership card at any time. This doesn't require a transaction. From the resident’s account, staff choose the desired membership and send the card by email. The email can go to the account holder or another address on file. See the Email Digital Membership Cards article for full steps.

The resident receives the same email described in the Send a Digital Membership Card During a Transaction section. It includes the option to add the card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

Resident Experience

Residents can access their digital membership card in two ways. They can use a transaction receipt or their online account.

Membership Transaction

Residents can access their digital membership card right after finishing a transaction with a membership. A Membership Cards section on the receipt screen shows the card. This includes a QR code or barcode (or both). It also shows the membership's current status and remaining punch-pass scans if the membership includes them. Residents can also add the card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet from this screen.

Online Account

Residents can navigate to “Manage Memberships” in their online account to view their digital membership cards. Selecting a membership shows the card, its current status, and remaining punch-pass scans if applicable. Household members can view cards for other memberships in their household, and purchasers can view all cards created under their membership. If public cancellation is enabled for the session, residents can cancel directly from the card view. They can also add their card to a preferred mobile wallet from this screen.
