Forte is one of the payment gateways supported by CivicPlus Payments. Following is information about the available features and how CivicPlus Payments and CSG Forte work with Recreation Management.

Cards on File

Follow the instructions to Add a Card on File to a Recreation Management account. The CSG Forte form has two options, Card and eCheck (ACH).

Note: If you do not see eCheck and you would like the ability to process ACH, please contact CSG Forte Support and ask them to turn it on for your account.

CAPTCHA Security Screen

To increase security, CivicPlus has added managed challenges (CAPTCHA) to CivicPlus Payments. Before reaching the hosted payment form, users may see a security screen like the one that follows:

Checking if the Connection is Secure.

Checkout Process

Internal Checkout: Cards on File

  1. Select Credit/Debit on the Payment screen Credit and debit option.

  2. If a card is on file, choose Saved Card Saved card forte.

  3. Click Add Credit/Debit Payment Add credit debit payment forte.

  4. Select Complete Transaction Complete transaction forte.

Public Checkout: Cards on File

  1. Select a Saved Card on the Payment screen Saved card forte public.

  2. Click Submit Payment Submit payment forte.

  3. Review and click Complete Transaction Complete transaction forte public.

eCommerce

  1. Follow steps to process a transaction internally or publicly using Credit/Debit

  2. Review amount, click Continue to Payment Continue to payment authorization.

    • Save Card: Selected by default

    • Overpayment: Select if needed

  3. Pass CAPTCHA Checking if the Connection is Secure.

  4. Fill out Card or eCheck fields Card Checkout.

  5. Click Next Next button.

  6. Click Authorize to finish Authorize forte.

EMV

  1. Select Credit/Debit Credit or debit option.

  2. Click Continue to Payment Continue to payment authorization.

  3. Follow steps from Forte EMV Payments Insert card.

Public Mobile View Cards on File

  1. Select Saved Card and click Review Transaction Save card on Forte.

  2. Click Complete Transaction Complete transaction.

Public Mobile eCommerce

  1. Click Checkout in cart Checkout button.

  2. Select Continue to Payment Continue to payment button.

  3. Pass CAPTCHA Mobile security pop-up.

  4. Enter payment Forte Card Checkout.

  5. Click Next Next button.

  6. Click Authorize Authorize button.

Setup Steps

  1. Set up your CSG Forte account with CSG Forte Customer Services

  2. Order your gateway hardware if using EMV

  3. Gather CSG Forte credentials and submit them to your Project Manager

  4. Read Forte section of the CivicPlus Help Center

  5. Run test transactions:

  6. Finish configuration
